بيان صادر عن الاتحاد الفلسطيني لكرة القدم
تلقى الاتحاد الفلسطيني لكرة القدم رسالة من الاتحاد الكويتي تفيد باعتذار الأخير عن لعب مباراة المنتخبين المقبلة لحساب تصفيات كأس العالم على أرض فلسطين بتاريخ 15 أكتوبر/ تشرين الأول المقبل، وطلبْ نقل ملعب المباراة بعد موافقته مسبقاً على اللعب في الأراضي الفلسطينية.
إننا في الاتحاد الفلسطيني لكرة القدم نتفهم تعقيدات هذا القرار ونقدر التواصل المدروس والمحترم من جانب إخواننا الكويتيين. لطالما كانت الكويت داعماً ثابتاً لفلسطين. ويعكس هذا الدعم الروابط التاريخية العميقة بين شعبينا، ونحن نعتز بهذه العلاقة الأخوية.
بالرغم من تأكيدنا على جاهزيتنا التامة لاستضافة المباراة في فلسطين، إلا أننا نحترم الأسباب التي عبرت عنها الكويت. وقد اتفق الاتحادان على أن تقام المباراة في الدوحة، ونتطلع إلى مباراة عادلة وتنافسية بين المنتخبين.
نود أن نؤكد أن هذا الوضع مؤقت ويعود إلى الظروف الحالية التي نواجهها في فلسطين، حيث يتعرض شعبنا في غزة لإبادة جماعية. نحن واثقون بأن هذه المحنة ستنتهي، وسنعمل جاهدين لضمان عودة منتخباتنا الوطنية للعب على أرض الوطن في أقرب وقت ممكن.
يبقى الاتحاد الفلسطيني لكرة القدم ملتزماً بحق لعب مبارياته البيتية في القدس، فلسطين، ومنح جماهيرنا الوفية الفرصة لمشاهدة الإنجازات التاريخية لفريقهم على أرض الوطن. هذا حق لنا، وسنواصل النضال من أجل تحقيقه بكل السبل الممكنة.
نؤكد أن هذا القرار لن يؤثر على العلاقات الأخوية العميقة التي تربطنا بالكويت، ونحن على ثقة بأن الفرص سوف تتاح مستقبلاً للعب في فلسطين، مما يعزز الروابط بين البلدين.
Palestine Football Association Statement in Response to the Kuwait Football Association’s Apology
The Palestine Football Association (PFA) acknowledges the request of the Kuwait Football Association to relocate our upcoming FIFA World Cup Qualifying match scheduled on the 15th of October, after initially agreeing to play in Palestine.
We understand the complexity of the decision and appreciate our Kuwaiti brothers' thoughtful and respectful communication. Kuwait has long been a steadfast supporter of Palestine. This support reflects the deep historical bonds between our peoples, and we cherish this relationship.
While we were fully prepared to host the match in Palestine, we respect the concerns expressed by Kuwait. Both Associations have agreed that the match will take place in Doha, and we look forward to a fair and competitive game in this new venue.
We would like to emphasize that this situation is temporary, stemming from the current circumstances in Palestine, where our people in Gaza are facing genocide. We are confident that this difficult period will pass, and we are determined to see our national team return to playing on home soil as soon as possible.
The PFA remains committed to ensuring that our national team can eventually host its matches in Jerusalem, Palestine, and provide our passionate fans the opportunity to witness the historic achievements of their team on home ground. We have a right to this, and we will continue to fight for it with determination and persistence.
This decision does not affect the deep brotherly relations we have with Kuwait, and we are confident that opportunities will arise in the future to play in Palestine, further strengthening the bonds between our nations.
